A Vintage Purple Wedding at the new modernized Soda Club District- Jonathan and Whitney

Whitney and Jonathan contacted me to shoot their vintage purple wedding at the new modernized Soda Club District Courtyard in Abilene, Texas. I was the first to photograph their first wedding there! What a great honor! The owners, Pam and Tim are a kind, hardworking couple. They did a great job at renovating this building, which used to be the boys and girls club!

A little back story on Whitney and Jonathan.. They met at work and didn't instantly like each other. They grew to be friends, started hanging out after work, started dating, and they ended up growing and falling in love with each other. I don't know about you, but having a best friend as your spouse is awesome! Jonathan asked Whitney to marry her last November at Painted Rock. How special!

I absolutely loved their choice of wedding colors, her dress from David's Bridal, and her mom did all the baking and even the cake!! Talk about talent in this family. :-)

How to Find the Right Private Photo Editor: Part One

Hi again! Last week, I talked about the 10 signs you need to outsource to a private photo editor. This week I'm going to give you a few tips on how to find the right editor for you! :-) Let's dive right in! 1.The first question you should ask yourself is: What IS your editing style? Bright and Airy, Colorful with a pop/contrast, Film style, Natural and Classy, Moody or Dark,? Do you use presets? Have you made your own preset? Do you like warmer or cooler, creamy skin tones? Maybe you need help developing a style you would like to use consistently. These are all great things to think about before you start looking for an editor.
