What's Calling You?

WHAT'S CALLING YOU? I am such a sap for inspirational music, especially from favorite movies. Take for instance this song from Moana. 🙈 But it speaks to my heart and desires every.single.time my little T plays this movie. 😁 Sometimes the things you know you desire and want to do in your life makes no sense to either yourself or others. And that's OKAY! Be true to yourself, follow what you know to be true and right in your life, and don't hesitate because of what others think you should be doing. You've got this! 💛 .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ . ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #centraltexasphotographer⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #austinfamilyphotographer⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #austinweddingphotographer⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #engagementphotos⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #familyphotos⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #beltonphotographer⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #abilenephotographer⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #mobilepresets⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #JPCpresets⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #lightandairy⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #desktoppreset #lightroompresets

JPC Presets Available Now!

WHY PRESETS? You need mobile or desktop presets if you are one of three people: 1. You love taking photos or are a newbie photographer and don't know how to edit/achieve a certain style.  2. You are a social media influencer, blogger, entrepreneur and want to take your photos and social media feed to the next level.  3. You are a photographer and want to create a cohesive feed between your mobile and desktop images or are looking for something with a little more pop to your images.  As a photographer and private photo editor for other high end photographers, I understand the need for presets and how editing your photos the same way gives you authority, value, strength in your branding, cohesiveness in your work, website, and social media feed. These are adjustments you make to your photos every single time by pressing one button, then tweak, and done! We don't have time to figure it all out and that's okay! I take the guess work out of it all with detailed and...

My Busy Season Was October

Y'all, October was crazy busy, but in a good way. I finally have a system down where I'm not glued to my computer and I'm able to do all the things I want, including family time, fun nights, cooking, and workouts (beachbody is my favorite). It includes waking up at 5am, but to be off in the evening with my kiddos and husband is worth it to me! I kicked my coffee addiction for good now. I never thought I would say it's been eight weeks since I stopped consuming cups of coffee a day. Energize is my go to drink in the morning now! I added up the other night how many weddings I edited in October, and it was 30! Phew! My average catalogs are 500-1000 images. I always put my images edited on my monthly tracker along with images sent. Here's the official stats: Actual images edited: 16,229 out of 18,105 sent. The images not edited are anchor images sent to me so I know exactly how that photographer wants their photos edited. October was my busy season. But I checked to...

How To Become BFF's With Your Editor!

How to Become BFF's with Your Editor and make them love editing for you even more: **Make sub-folders in your raw folders before loading into Lightroom from each part of your wedding day. This allows editing in each category for easy peasy editing. PLUS, it is really easy to load your photos in your galleries for your clients. A win-win for both of us!! I have a lot of BFF's in my photography family unbeknownst to them. 😂🤣🤗 #kjlightingcourse #kjposingcourse #kjmarketing #kjconsistencycourse #kjeverything 😂 #boutiquephotoeditor #privatephotoeditor #outsourceeditor #outsourcing #privatephotoediting #myfamilyofphotographers #lovethelight #glowygoodness #mastinskintones #reallife #mommingandworking #momlife #bemommyfirst #lifeofamom #lightroomhacks

How to Get Those Glowy Magical Bridal Photos- The Grove at Denton Valley- Jennifer's Bridals

Have you wondered how you can get glowy magical photos in the middle of the afternoon? That's what we achieved with Jennifer's bridal session at the Grove at Denton Valley a few weeks before her wedding. Finding the light is everything. Don't get me wrong- love sunset photos. But these late afternoon/early evenings take the cake for me! If you know how to use the light you can get these type of photos for your bridals. So when looking for a wedding photographer, check to see if they know how to find the light in sessions that everyone wants. Here's a tip: In every photographers ideal photo session, about 1.5 hours before the sun starts to go down is super ideal for photos and you won't have to worry about sun spots. But when you fear the rain forecast you work with that mid afternoon light and take it in stride! That's what we did with Jennifer's bridals and I couldn't be happier! Enjoy a few of my favorites. :-) Photographer- Jennifer Pitts Phot...

Four Reasons To Do Your Engagement Photos With Your Wedding Photographer- A Coral and Blue Engagement Session By the Lake- Vanessa & Myles-- Abilene, Texas

Vanessa and Myles had a coral and blue engagement session by the lake in Abilene, Texas a few weeks ago.  I loved meeting this couple and seeing the wonderful chemistry they had with each other. They are getting married next August at Tangled Hearts and I couldn't be more excited for them!  Here's four reasons why I think you should have your engagement session with the wedding photographer you want to book with.  1. You get to know each other and see if your personalities are a good fit. This can literally make or break the flow of your wedding day!  2. You get to see their posing style and how they pose you. Natural, formal, stiff, fun?  Were you comfortable around them? Did they make you feel at ease about having your photos taken for the wedding day? 3. When you look at their website and social media, you should know the exact style they have, without any doubts. Are they up to date on their sites? Does their style stay the same or is it...
